I see where you’re coming from @Leonor, but I also look at Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” While He may not have created the storms we go through (although there is enough evidence in both the OT and NT that sometimes He did create storms for both His followers and for those who turned away from Him), He will use the storms we go through to bring good to us and/or for His glory. 
Do I think God created my miscarriage? No, I absolutely do not believe God took my unborn child away from me. However, I DO believe that He used that storm to strengthen my own testimony and relationship with Him, which I have used to help other friends and family members when they have gone through their own MC. He didn’t necessarily create the storm, but He found a way to bring good from it and allow it to be used for His glory in the end.

I strongly believe in what the bible solely teaches and I am convinced that any difficulties in my life are not caused by my Father. He loves me too much to put any of his children through any pain. If we are faced with trouble or temptation, James 1:13,14 clearly gives us the reason why we face certain situations “When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone. But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire.” Another verse that supports this is Deuteronomy 32:4,5 that states,”The Rock, perfect is his activity, For all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness who is never unjust; Righteous and upright is he. They are the ones who have acted corruptly. They are not his children, the defect is their own. They are a crooked and twisted generation.”

I said Amen. That said, I don’t believe God is the one who causes a majority of the storms, but He DOES allow them. And He does work everything for the good of those who love Him.

I think that concepts like this can give people a lot of hope, which is a positive thing and I would never wanna take that away from someone, but I personally have a hard time believing it. I think about all the people who have had HORRIBLE things happen to them, and I just legitimately cannot see why any merciful god would knowingly put someone through it. I think about the people who have committed suicide because they were raped or abused. Yes, the rapist or abuser is at fault, but if there is an all-knowing god, then he should have known what would happen to that person and knowingly let his will play out at the expense of someone else. I know that some will say the evil people will eventually be punished, but that doesn’t un-rape or un-abuse the victim. Like I said, I don’t wanna take away something that gives people encouragement, but it’s definitely something to think about.

this comes with the question of whether you believe in free will or not. I do believe in free will and believe that when you go through a hard time because of other people, it is because they are sinners and we live in a fallen world. I don't believe God puts people in our lives just so they can cause us misfortune or treat us horribly. if you are going through a rough patch right now, that is unfortunately life. We are only pilgrims in this world and it will all fall away and be perfect in heaven as God made it. sometimes bad things happen to good people and there really is no purpose for it. but we are to not have our hope with our lives or this world anyway. There is a perfect place for us but we will only see it when He returns.
