Is a crib really a necessity or not?
Ever since I was pregnant and started to go to baby stores I noticed one thing bulky this bulky that. And im so organized and yet so simple that I don't like bulky anything when it comes to baby gear especially furniture. Therefore I was that one person that got certain things gear gifts like a pack and play and I couldn't stand to see it so I gave it away. So I never bought a crib. I'd tell everyone don't gift me one either. I was one to not even want a baby shower because I wanted to buy everything on my own. If you're wondering my house is so spacious in and out but it's decorated all around with so much simplicity nothing bulky. Becoming a mother and all the baby gear, toys etc has been some what complicated for me because I don't want anything bulky around the house. My son is 13 months and has his own play room. The only room that's colorful because he has toys and other things for him to be entertained. The only bigger baby gear he's had was a mamaroo which I got rid off and this neno activity jumper which is next to be out since he doesn't care for it anymore. Moving forward my son has slept with me and his dad in our bed in his dock a tot he's now in the toddler one. BUT lately he's been getting out of it and wants to sleep and cuddle with me at night but it ends up on him kicking me and it's getting out of control the past nights to the point I'm considering a crib but I'm thinking of buying a modern one in a mini version and I'd like to know if you mommies think that a crib is a necessity or not?
For those who decided to not get one what has worked for you? Please share.
And for those who've had a crib how did you do it for baby to stay in if he's been sleeping in bed with you for as long as mine?
Also if anyone has a mini crib and what is the weight and height limit?
