Am I unreasonable?

So it’s Mother’s Day where I’m from today. My very first. My husband gave me breakfast in bed which was great. He also gave me flowers, but they were the cheapest ones from the grocery store. We also went out for a stroll where I ended up buying him lunch... and now we’re just watching tv. Am I right to be a bit disappointed or am I unreasonable??

Honestly, that sounds like a lovely day to me. I'm not going to tell you how to feel though. If you're upset, speak with your hubby & let him know your expectations. Happy Mother's Day!

You can be disappointed but it seems unreasonable. I think if you look at the overall: breakfast in bed, flowers and a lunch with my husband... I’d say this would be an amazing day.

Wow. I think it’s so sweet that he thought of you! Even if the flowers were cheap, he tried. 🤷🏻‍♀️ There’s Love in that effort. 
I’d love a day like that...but honestly if I could have anything, I’d love to sleep in on Mother’s Day and maybe take a bubble bath without my toddler running in and trying to jump on me. 😩
Now that would be magical.

My hubby took the night shift with the baby for my first mother's day. Baby was 2 months so it was the first time I got 8 hours in a row since he had been born. It cost us no $ and I felt incredible when I woke up. I was hoping for flowers or dinner but I ended up very happy with sleep instead!

I think he did a great job, I think you sound a bit materialistic and ungrateful. He tried and that's what should count, not the fact he got you grocery store flowers and you bought him lunch. And if you want to be technical your money is his and his is yours, so in the grand scheme of things he still bought you lunch.

well you are married so what yours is his in my opinion. you bought lunch for each other. He got you flowers. who gives two shits if they were not from a floral boutique. Be grateful your man spent the day with you and thought of you.

I have been another for the past 2 mother’s days and haven’t gotten anything from my husband at all.. I would be thrilled with breakfast in bed and cheap flowers or even flowers he picked from the side of the road. 🤷🏼‍♀️
