Ovulation test at night?

Has anyone taken an ovulation test around 6:00pm? I have never taken one before and I tarted hurting on my right side pretty bad so I wanted to test the theory and see if that meant I was really ovulating. So I went and bought the ovulation kit and it said I was ovulation. I did ready the directions and it said the morning pee would be the best but that I could do it as long as I haven't drank that much. So I didn't drink anything for about three hours and I took the test and it said I was ovulation. My question is, could that have been a false result since I took it so late in the day?

I don't think so... I heard testing with morning pee can be false and not accurate. I usually take mine mid day

I do one in the morning with FMU and one in the evenings cause you can surge any time theoretically...and I like to test around every 12 hours to detect it as early as possible!

I've also read that you should do OPK tests in the afternoon/evening.

With opks you dont use fmu. The hormones from the night before would still be there which could lead to a misleading result. You should teat around noon and/or evening

I test twice a day. With fmu and then again at 2:00 pm. If you waited three hours, it could absolutely be accurate.
