Huh. When I had Mirena it didn't affect my moods at all, but holy crap, this Nexplanon has been hell. Only been a month and there's been a huge shift in my moods. Ugh. Hoping it clears up. There's a reason women with a history of depression are warned against certain birth controls, after all.

I was on the same birth control (Tri-Sprintec) for three years before I got married and had to switch (to Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo ) due to an insurance change... I noticed BAD mood swings and depression within the first new pack and it was actually was so bad it swayed me to stop taking birth control altogether. Definitely can affect your mood negatively.
