DRUG TESTING??

I recently got a job at lady footlocker, got hired about 3 weeks ago and I’ve gone in only a few times to work and they haven’t mentioned drug testing once. Only to not bring drugs or weapons at work. I’m wondering if there’s a chance they’ll drug test, even if they didn’t before they hired me.

Most jobs have you sign a paper with different statements on it when you get hired- and one of these papers will mention that they have the right to randomly drug test anyone at any time.

The only time they will do a drug test is if you look like you’re under the influence of something while working... or if your manager or an employee hates you & you come to your job to shop and you smell of weed or something like that. Most retail jobs don’t give a shit tho . I’ve been in retail since I was 16 until I was 22 and never got rested . First time I was tested was before my 23rd bday & that was for school lol cause as a nursing student you can’t do drugs . Lol we all get tested.

My dads work will drug test you if you twist your ankle....but it’s a factory so they want you to be safe and smart.

or if they see you messing up, or acting strange, that could be harmful to yourself or a customer, or potentially the company itself (basically their reputation) they could send you for one.  But they have to have a damn good reason for that to happen.

Its written in the paperwork that they can either randomly test you or you will be automatically tested in the event of a work related accident like you fall off the ladder and sprain your ankle kinda thing 
I wasnt tested when i worked at shoe carnival but i was tested at walmart before the position was offered
