Does anyone have irregular AF & find it extremely hard to calculate when u ovulate?

It was impossible to pinpoint ovulation because my cycles were sometimes 60 days.. sometimes 20 days. I never knew what to expect. It’s a lot easier said than done... but regulating your cycle is the only sure way to know around when you’re ovulating. I changed my diet and exercised daily without fail. And that pretty much regulated it after I lost about 50 pounds. I finally got pregnant though when I went on metformin my first round. It stabilizes blood sugar and promotes regular ovulation and it 10000% did that for me. Now 4 months pregnant and healthy.

My cycles range from 48-55 days, but not reliably. This cycle, what I thought was ovulation spotting on CD30 has turned into AF. Being irregular sucks. I do OPKs my whole cycle and that's helped me catch ovulation twice. I should exercise more regularly, that's helped in the past. I had an appointment with my OBGYN a week and a half ago and she ordered testing and clomid for my next cycle.

I started using a supplement called premama on CD 3 and ovulated CD 13. 
Before that I would have irregular cycles that were like 31-38 days and I would ovulate CD 21-28 and never had a super positive opk so who knows if I actually ovulated during those cycles. 
I wish I had known about premama sooner. It’s a flavorless powder you add to a non-carbonated drink but you can buy the active ingredient in pill form (myo-inositol).

I have to use OPKs and track my cervical mucus. It’s the only way I’ll know for sure.
