Have you guys given your kids the flu shot?

I have an appointment today for my healthy 6 year old and they are going to give her the flu shot and im scared she actually gets sick bc of it. Couple kids have passed from the flu but maybe im paranoid.

She won’t get sick. Please make sure she has her next flu shot in August before school starts...and the flu season. Delaying the shot is a part of the reason why it’s out of control now.

The most she will get is a sore arm or a little fatigue. It won’t kill her like the flu could.

The flu shot won’t make her sick. She may feel sleepy for a day, and it won’t be effective for two weeks, so she can still get the flu in that time. The flu shot is less effective this year, but it will lessen the chance a serious complication that lead to death. And of course, it does not protect against the myriad of other illnesses that are going around.

Yeah my daughter got the flu shot. The only way your child can get sick due to the shot is if they are allergic to an ingredient. Which is not that common and the same goes for everything you ever expose them to.

My daughter is 2.5 and I’m a SAHM so I chose not to get her the flu shot.. when she goes to school I’ll reconsider it because children are little Petri dishes lol
