I am expecting my 5th baby in April. The doctors want to induce at 39 weeks because of two reasons. 1. I have a history of rapid labour (last was 55 minutes) and we live 40 minutes from the nearest hospital. 2. My third child had a shoulder dystocia. My midwife is saying its unnecessary and unsafe and i can birth my baby on side of the road cause i have such easy births etc but the doctors are like its in your best interest to induce early. My midwife keeps telling me the risks of inductions at 39 weeks going wrong are high? I had my 4 other kids overdue the first two i went into labour on my own at almost 41 weeks and the second two were induced at 42 weeks
