I lost my mucus plug one week before my labor started. The day I went in to labor I woke up with a backache & some cramping (felt like menstrual cramps). My nesting instinct was bananas all day! (Fought with my husband for the first time all pregnancy about how he needed to pick up our deep freezer TODAY) I prepped 8 freezer meals, built my glider for the nursery, organized the kitchen, cleaned the nursery.. I had so much I felt I HAD to get done. Meanwhile my cramps continued all day (I thought they were Braxton Hicks). By around 7-8p I realized they were kinda stronger so I timed them. They were lasting about 1 min & were 7-8 mins apart! I called my midwife & she monitored me through the night. I went to my birthing center at 5a, & had my baby at 1:20, unmedicated & in water. It was amazing.

With my second son I was actually able to start labor on my own I woke up at seven knew it was real labor by eight got to the hospital by 11 and had the baby almost immediately. The contractions especially at the beginning felt like bad menstrual cramps and they just got stronger but I can have some really bad menstrual cramps so that’s what I think of them as

I had a small bloody show and period like cramps. I had the cramping on and off for about 4 days but two days before my daughter was born they were consistent and just got stronger and closer together then bam baby! Lol

I woke up out of a dead sleep at 6 am the day I went into labor. No idea why but I was all of a sudden wide awake. A few minutes later I started having contractions. They weren’t close together at that point but they were a lot stronger than I had experienced previously, so I had a feeling they were the real deal this time. As the day progressed they got stronger and closer together. I had an OB appointment scheduled for that day but the receptionist called me asking me to reschedule for the next day because the doctor was currently delivering a baby. I told her I didn’t think I’d make it until the next day because I was starting to suspect that I was going into labor. We went to dinner and walked around the mall for a bit. By the time we got home I was very uncomfortable and I waited about another hour before I decided we should go to the hospital. By that point the contractions were about 3-5 minutes apart and I was having a much harder time breathing through them. When I got there I was dilated to a 3 and an hour later I was at a 4, so they kept me there. I progressed slowly and ultimately had her at 12:31 pm the next day.

every little thing that happened to me, weird discharge, sleepless nights, constipation, diahrea... just everything I thought was a sign. I ended up getting induced. There were no signs for that.

Nope, woke up with contractions and gave birth a couple hours later. Didn’t feel any different the day or night before. I was 39 weeks 5 days.

The day I went into labor I started to spot, fast forward a few hours and I kept getting intense pains that would gradually increase. Fast forward even more more water started leaking! I was 40W 3 days
