Period like symptoms before labor?

Did any one experience period like cramps, backache, nausea, diarrhea and cold sweats before going into labor? If so, how long before you did?

Answer

that was the first stage of my labour.  I got to the hospital after about 6hrs of that and had my son in an hour.
