Sex after birth (vaginal pain)

Has anyone been diagnosed with vaginismus? Has anyone had sex after having a baby and finding that their vagina feels sooooo much tighter and painful? I had a c section no vaginal birth for me also if that makes a difference. During labor when they would check my cervix I was in so much pain I was crying they even tested me to see if I had a yeast infection or something but it all came back normal I'm scared sex will never be the same for me and my SO and I'm scared of losing him not that he would leave me because of sex but I would feel awful cause I would never want to even try to have sex again if it's as painful as my doctor and nurses checking me....
