What do I need for filing taxes?

We have a 6 month old baby and we’re confused as to what to wait for in the mail for her and what we need to bring when we do go do the taxes. 
Do we need her birth certificate or just social?

If they happen to audit you then you may need to produce a document.

You don’t need to physically bring them in. Name, birthday, SSN can all be told to whoever is doing your taxes.

not sure but I think just birthdate and social... but you might want to check on your documents... we received both documents in the mail by 7 weeks old
