Anybody recently get out of basic training within the last two years?

I just got sworn into the army and I am freaked out and super excited. What should I expect? I know it will be difficult but any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I went to basic in 2014 and I actually loved it. But I guess it depends on the post. Do you know where you’ll be going?

I got out of basic almost 3 years ago, but I’m Navy so probably no help

I graduated Oct. 1, 2015. Expect lack of sleep from day 1, first of all. Drill sergeants aren’t your friends. They’re there to train you for the army career ahead of you. There will be long nights & hella early mornings (all before the sun actually comes up). The hardest time will be the first couple of weeks, then you’ll kind of get the hang of it (& then start to miss home even more). Then the last few weeks seem to drag on because you know graduation is coming up & you’re cleaning your weapon over & over & over again for an entire week. 🤦🏾‍♀️ Just hang in there & don’t be weak. We don’t need more weak/sensitive ass soldiers in the military.
