How long did you have to stay in the hospital after giving birth?

Just curious, I know if you have a csection it's usually a standard 3 days. If you has to stay 3 days or more with vaginal delivery, what was the reason?

Vaginally. We were able to leave after 18 hours but everything went extremely well so we opted to do an early release

with your first baby in Norway it's pretty standard to stay at least 3 nights in a postpaetujm "hotel" that's staffed with midwives who help with questions and breastfeeding. It's pretty great

I had a natural birth with my Son. He was born at 11, got stitched and showered and left at around 4. Planning on an epidural this time and they warned I may have to stay overnight (depending on what time I deliver) 😔

My stay was technically 3 full days even though I voted 2. I was admitted on a Sunday morning and we left the hospital late evening on Tuesday. My doctor and nurses wanted to make sure my pain was under control as I suffered a 4th degree tear. It was awful.

my 1st i was in overnight. My 2nd i was home less same day. I hope to be home same day with this one as well.

With my first I had Preeclampsia ( delivered at 33 weeks, vaginally) and stayed 3 days. 
My second I had a normal delivery, vaginally and healthy baby... stayed 1 day.

I despise hospitals. With my vaginal births I requested an early discharge and went home 24 hrs after delivery. With my c section I had severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome and they were talking about keeping me longer, but I didn't want to and fortunately my blood levels bounced back enough that my dr didn't make me stay longer.
