I have nothing against her. I just love the name and it’s my middle name. If I name my baby Ellen do you think people will automatically think of Ellen Degeneres? Like if it was Oprah or something... lol.

My daughter is 7 and an Ellen. I have been asked if it was connected to Ellen DeGeneres a grand total of 3 times. I have been complimented on her name countless times. We call her Ellie, and she's the only one in her school. Lots of Ella's, etc. She's named after my great aunt, and it's a good choice for a name that isn't too popular and doesn't feel 'middle-aged', you know? Gotta balance the generations, lol.
