Baby shower drama

So I told my babies God mother her and her wife could do my baby shower. Now my mother has been pushing me to let her do it. This is her first grandchild but I don't like the way she's going about it. She's trying to take over she wants me to tell her (God mother) she can't do it, she's telling me to shorten my guest list the more people the more money, and she's telling me ALL of my guest have to have a gift since she's spending all this money. I didn't ask my mom to do my shower so it's upsetting me that she's coming in with all of these rules and keeps mentioning money. If money is so tight I feel like she shouldn't do the shower. I offered for her to work with the babies God mother but she said NO. Flat out no. So I don't know what else to do I don't want to hurt her feelings and upset her but she's upsetting me. I understand it's her first grand baby but I'm going to be no upset and stressed out if my baby shower is ruined because she's being selfish. Advice please ladies I'm getting a headache.
