chemical pregnancy? advice please!

I thought I had a normal period beginning 2-1-18(previous period 12-31-17) but before beginning my ovulation tests for this month I decided to take a pregnancy test on 2-10-18. It was positive and so were the many that followed. Went to the doctor this past week for exam and bloodwork. She stated my uterus felt soft like early pregnancy. After the repeat bloodwork 48 hours later my hcg levels had decreased. They want to continue bloodwork until it reaches zero. They stated once the level reaches zero I should have 3 normal menstrual cycles before TTC again. That seems like a long time, just curious what other women have experienced in this situation. Anyone get pregnant right away again and have a healthy pregnancy?? This would have been my first pregnancy. Thanks!
