anyone go through this before?

To start my story, I'm 23 years old and have been dealing with ruptured cysts since I was about 12. diagnosed with endometriosis at 17/18.

every month is a surprise for me. I never know when I'm going to get my period, or when it's going to end. one month I can get it for 7 days the next month I can get it for 5 weeks and then I can go 6 months without it.

I had started getting period like symptoms last Thursday the 15th which was right around the expected ovulation so I thought nothing of it. As the days went on I started cramping more and spotting less . yesterday around noon my pain went from a scale of 1 to 10 within a matter of minutes. I was at work stuck on my patients recliner, dizzy, vomiting, nausea and in the worst pain I had been in a while. I finally got a ride to the emergency room because I could not take it anymore. was given Toradol, morphine and dilaudid until the pain finally stopped a little bit. after many tests it turns out that I have multiple cysts on both sides, and on my right ovary I have a 5cm dermoid cyst close to my fallopian tube. so my OBGYN told me I need to go for surgery as soon as possible. the next surgery date is March 1st and I am still so confused about what this is.

I've done myself diagnosing, Googled all of the information I could find on this type of cyst and I am still confused.

Has anyone else had this before? Is this caused by stress? Miscarriage? Does this cause infertility?? So many things running through my mind and I don't know where to turn to.
