Getting hair professionally dyed at a salon while pregnant?

Beginning of the second trimester. I'm thinking it would be okay, but only without the harsh chemicals? (if that is possible) all input would be helpful!thanks

The threat of dying hair is not because of the chemicals actually in you but because of the fumes. So in a salon you would be perfectly fine because it’s very well ventilated. In a small bathroom at your house, bad idea.

I dyed my hair before knowing I was pregnant and slightly freaked out, but after talking to my doctor she said it was okay. I haven’t done it since then but after my 16 week check up the other day I asked again and she said to go for it.

I got mine done and was fine. From what I’m told it’s mostly the breathing in chemicals that’s bad just pick a good open salon.

I had an appointment the day I got a positive test. I cancelled, and rescheduled for later in my first trimester. I had an ombré so the day wasn’t getting anywhere close my by head. When I went back for my next appointment I was well into my second trimester and I died my entire hair dark with a few highlights, because it’s lower maintenance. I don’t see a problem with it but I did wait until I was out of “the danger zone” until I did my full head and when I did dye my full head I did so that It wouldn’t have to be done as frequently, mostly because I was thinking will I have the time and extra money once baby arrives
