Dock a tot advice

I’ve been considering getting a dock a tot for my newborn because I’ve heard people swear by it. My concern though is the padding along the sides. How do people not worry that their baby is going to suffocate? I was all for the dock a tot until I did some reading about sids and I was like wait, is it really a good idea?? I’d love to hear some opinions please 😊
