Immigration question

My husband is not from here ( he was brought here when he was a baby) and I would like him to apply for his citizenship but he doesn’t think they will accept him because of his past criminal history. (All misdemeanors when he was a teenager and a current misdemeanor for a fight that we had and neighbors decided to call the police). My father had a couple of felonies and he was still able to become a citizen so my question is would it be worth it to hire a lawyer and go through with the application? I have a clean record, no tickets,citations,arrests.

Any help would be much appreciated since I don’t know where to start

Also sorry if I post in wrong room I looked and couldn’t find anything close to this subject.
