Should I TEST for endometriosis?

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 2 1/2 years now. We've done all the fertility testing and the doctors have told us that we have unexplained infertility. I've already had an HSG TEST and my fallopian tubes are open. My doc suggested I have an endometriosis test but I have no symptoms and am told that it's a surgery. I really don't want to waste my money or go under the knife. Should I take the test? Is it worth it to find out?

My doctor order blood work then hsg test then ultra sound. The blood work and ultra sound showed that I prob had. Got the surgery done last week. Stage 2. Try blood work first. The surgery was not bad but having a hard time recovering. However, I would not take it back cause now I know why I could not get pregnant

Well, I had surgery to tell if I had it an it was painless and simple. The just slightly cut my abdomen and checked it out. They got rid of anything they saw and did a d&c. That was November 2013 I believe. This February I got pregnant my first month TTC. So it might be worth it! But totally up to you obviously!

I know when I was studying the reproductive system in college I learned a womans PH down there could make pregnancy impossible for some women because the acidity kills the sperm. Not saying that's your issue but I'm tossing that out there if you didn't already know that or your doctor think of it. Best of luck to you.

They can sometimes tell with an ultrasound first.
