Most important baby gear after 3 months?

Question

I have all the gear needed for up to 3 months except a swing but What will I need around 6 months? Is a baby floor seat really necessary? I have a $100 gift card  to use thanks

I have 3 kids going on 4. The only thing on your list that I have is the highchair.

It's definitely a tie between the exersaucer and the high chair for me. But a high chair isn't technically needed until about 6 months and then I would say it's a must. You want to be able feed them solids safely and create independence while eating.

The only thing on that list that we have is a high chair. We never saw a need for a jumper, exersaucer or floor seat.

I have all of these, but we hardly ever use the floor seat. I put her in her jumper or exersaucer anytime I need to do something I can't actively supervise her during. I keep the exersaucer in the kitchen so she can play and be with me while I do dishes and cook, and the jumper is in the living room so she plays there while I scrub the bathroom and gather laundry and stuff. Is nice to know that she's safe where I put her while I'm occupied doing other things and my hands are full. She's 6 months though, so if you put her on the floor she's rolling and scooting everywhere and getting into all kinds of trouble!

We used a floor seat (fisher price sit-me-up $30) every single day from 4 months to 7 months. It keeps them off their head to prevent flat spots. It also helps them develop core strength so they can sit unassisted. When we started solids at 6 months, we would feed her in it as well.

That’s hard. For us we used a floor seat a lot!!! My son had a flat spot on his head so as soon as he had good head control (around 3 months old) we bought a floor seat because it kept him off his head. Also once he turned 4 months and started eating solids that’s what I used until about 7 months to feed him in and then we switched to the high chair. And now we use the high chair for every feeding. My son also absolutely loves his jumper. He’s been using that since 3 months old as well (he’s now 9 months old).

Play gym mat with the hanging toys. Keeps them entertained for longer periods of time. Gives them opportunity  to explore their capabilites and potentially start crawling when they are ready. If in a jumper/excersaucer they can't keep working on their motor skills to crawl/walk

I won't ever get another excersaucer. the seat broke loose on mine while the baby was in it. she was fine but it was scary.

The new bumbos convert to a booster seat as your child grows that you can strap to a chair. There's also a brand called ingenuity that makes a similar chair if you don't like the bumbo.
