Which one is better?

I need a new phone because I've had my iPhone 6 for a few years and it's finally giving up on me so I'm going to upgrade. 
I'd like to know which one is best. 
I don't like androids so that's a NO for me.

I like the bigger screen in the 8+. I was in your same boat (had to retire the 6 and was vacillating between 8+ and 10) and went with the 8+. I’m very happy with it.

I did not care for the x when I played with it in store. I went with the 8 plus. I had a 6s before, and love love this 8 plus!

I have an iPhone X but I honestly never use any of its “ unique features”

They have the same hardware.
The iPhone X has facial recognition, and it’s front facing camera is better. It’s processor is a tiny bit faster (not enough to notice). 
Other than that, they’re essentially the exact same phone.
