Your thoughts on baby powder?

I don't see what the point in it is. I have also heard it can be dangerous. What are your thoughts?

I LOVE BABY POWDER!! With my girls I used it for chaffing. Diapers can be very irritating around the legs  especially when they start crawling and or they have baby rolls. With my son I used it every time I changed him so his "stuff" wouldn't stick together and cause irritation and so that the diaper didn't rub his sensitive skin on his under carriage and cause irritation. Baby powder also comes in liquid form and I loved using it as well.

With 4 boys I use it, it helps with chaffing in my house. With everyone running around the chubby little legs and boy parts can get raw. It helps dry out rashes for us too. It's completely up to you though mama.

With my daughter I never used it , never really knew what to use it for , but now being pregnant with my second , first boy , I use it for the heat rashes I get from sweating and whatnot and have never been happier with a product ! Haha I definitely plan on using it on my son .

use cornstarch, it does the same thing but its less harmful

I used it with my first (I was a heavy powder-er & it was a nightmare cleaning her girly parts. With my second I only used it in summer between the folds in her legs so she would chafe, going to do the same thing for baby girl #3

I had a little girl and never used it. Pregnant with another little girl and won't use it again. It's so hard to get out of all those small little parts!! The twin boys I nannied always used powder without any issues. It's easier to clean powder off boy parts! 😉

I won't use it. I don't see the point. I'll use coconut oil instead probably. It helps with diaper rash.
