Baby's first bath!

Ok, so I have a question. baby #4 will be here in August. with my first 2 I guess I never gave it any thought at all. with my 3rd I literally watched while my baby cried and was cold as the nurse gave him a bath that seemed to take an eternity. another nurse even came in my room twice to ask how much longer she needed, and was she done yet (quite rudely , I felt sorry for her honestly) but... if I have a natural birth with no complications can't I bathe him. I should be giving him his first bath! has anyone ever requested and been able to do so? U/S @ 13 weeks
