Do these kids look mixed to you?

These are my babies aged 9 and 2. They both have white dads and I catch hell, and go through nonsense in public because people dont think theyre mine. Is it really that hard to tell?

People are so ignorant of how genetics work (especially recessive genes) and people in this country in particular are so hung up on color that nothing good comes of it.

My family is mixed on both sides and my ethnicity and that of my parents and relatives get called into question all the time. I've heard it all, especially since my mom has darker skin than I.  It's always some lame attempt at trying to "figure" me out, or her out, or my relationship to any relative. I just hate that people feel that it's not rude to assume such things.

Either way, you have beautiful kids.

I'm mixed, he's white, but our son was born with blonde hair and blue eyes. It's getting hard not to be outright rude to all the people who assume I'm a nanny or worse. Thanks for posting, I feel less alone.

They're adorable! End of story. I am basically Casper with dark hair(rocking my summer fro)and dark brown eyes. My half sister is the same. We're both tall. My other sister is short, curvy, blonde hair and blue eyes! I tell her she's adopted LOL

I don't think they look mixed,because I know white people with hair like that..so I don't know very hard to tell without seeing the parents.

They look mixed to me, but the reality is we're all mixed with everything! Who cares what people think? So many children are adopted as well, so who cares. If they're loved and taken care of it doesn't matter!

My dad is a dark skin Mexican with black hair  black eyes my mom is Hungarian with dark hair dark eyes me my sister were born with blonde hair colored eyes my youngest sister has darker skin dark hair dark eyes you never know what you going to get

The same thing happens to my Sister in law. She is Hispanic and he is White. She lives in LA and everyone thinks she is the nanny

This is my hubby and I. I dont have a pic of my older daughters dad. The only reason I even posted this is because in the 10 years since my firsr child was born I have had the cops called on me, once for kidnapping my own baby and once for yelling at my kids at the pool because people think they arent mine. Its so hard not to get mad because they are my kids but because they look so much like my husband. I mean they look like me too but the fact that theyre white makes people so rude to me when I am out in public with them. With another one coming i have just lost my patience lol 😤
