Would you do it?

So right now I’m in school 5 hours away from my bf. We still see each other every now and then but not as much as we’d like. Now I am transferring to a University closer but it’s an hour and 20 minutes away. He was upset because of this saying that I wouldn’t be able to move in with him (he thought I was going to a different school only an hour away from him). I could still make the drive and even know another girl that goes to the school but stays with her parents and makes the drive everyday. I was thinking about either getting an apartment with my friend or staying with my parents and then moving in with my bf. My parents live in a different town about an hour and 25 minutes away but are completely fine with me making the drive if I choose. I think it would be cheaper because then I wouldn’t have to pay rent so all I’ll have to pay for is gas. It’s a long drive and more factors will pay into my decision but I wanted to get some other opinions.
