what week is the screening for Downs etc?

I think it’s called a NIPT. What week does this happen? Do they draw blood for this?

It can be done as early as nine weeks. To ensure there is enough fetal matter in moms blood my doctor advised me not to book the draw before 9w3d.

had mine at 12w1d. believe with my daughter it was 11w6d (just from looking back at the ultrasounds) we had the nuchal translucency scan and then a finger prick for 5 drops of blood. I much prefer the finger prick to the blood draw!

They typically do it between 12-14 weeks. There is a blood draw involved.

I had NIPT at 10w4d - called Harmony test and they’ll do it as early as 10w. Yes, it was a blood test.

Does this tell you gender as well? I'm getting mine done at 14 weeks, but they didn't mention gender just abnormalities and Down syndrome
