Terrified of the Groomer

I have a Westie Mutt who will be 2 in May. We got Tinkerbell when she was a puppy and took her for regular groomings to get her comfortable with it. Now that she's an adult we take her as needed, about every 3 months. She is a very social easy going fuzz ball with people and other dogs.

Today I dropped her off for her usual grooming/daycare and she refused to get out of the car. I went to the passenger side. She moved to the driver's. I go to the driver's side and she immediately went back to the passenger side. I had to pick her up out of the car and when we got inside she nervous peed on the floor, something she has only done a handful of times. She was also trembling. The groomer also said she has never seen this before. Has any one else experienced this with the dogs? Any thoughts or suggestions? It just seems odd that this seems to be a new behavior.

UPDATE: Thanks everyone for the comments. I have some good news that put me at ease. Something I had not considered was over Christmas she was spending time with our nieces and nephews... and their very loud toys. She was terrified by the toys and since then every time there is a loud noise, vacuum (which she didn't mind before) kitchen fan, oven, blender, etc she hides. The groomer said the blow drier on its normal setting made Tink really nervous but she gave her some extra pets, treats, and turned the dryer down to its lowest setting. She also got some play time with the other pups in and by the time I picked her up she was back to her usual happy self. Still took her shopping for for a treat and a new toy. I'll still continue to keep an eye on this and make sure we aren't missing anything. Thanks again everyone :)
