PCOS- How long did it take you to get pregnant? (with Clomid as well)

I got diagnosed with PCOS last year in January. My periods have always been really irregular and super bad cramps. I got married in June 2017. SO and I have been trying to get pregnant with no luck. First OB told me to just track my ovulation with opks and no luck. I finally went to a different OB and he did a sonogram. Turns out I was never ovulating. He put me on Metformin and Clomid. I just got AF with provera yesterday and will be starting Clomid Friday. Just wanted to know how long it took y'all to get pregnant with PCOS.

Two years. First year was strictly tracking cycles and I had light bleeding for over 60 days in a row many times during that year with no signs of ovulation. After the first year we started meds. Clomid was first. I was able to ovulate on Clomid and had regular cycles. I had two miscarriages on Clomid (one chemical one missed at 10 1/2 weeks) then switched OBs and started Femara. Also made huge adjustments to my diet (cut gluten, dairy, soy and reduced processed sugars). Had a chemical pregnancy first cycle and was told to go a cycle without meds to let my body heal. Took the next cycle off meds but continued with dietary changes (food changes were for 60 days at this point) and got pregnant during that natural cycle. Currently 37w6d pregnant and waiting for our rainbow baby’s arrival. Good luck!

A year and 3 months. I tried 4 rounds of Femara, but they failed. I was going to start Clomid after Femara, but decided to take a cycle off between the two, and somehow, I got pregnant naturally on my cycle off!

I only did two cycles with femara and quit. I got pregnant the next cycle or the one after that and I swear it’s because of fertility acupuncture. You should look into it.

With our second (due in 4 weeks!), it took us 20 months to conceive. The first 13 months, I was unaware that I even had PCOS. Once I got diagnosed, it took me 5 months to get pregnant after I made a lifestyle change with diet, exercise, and medication (metformin, vitamin D).

With my second it took us over 3 years and my third almost 2. I have always been on metformin and with my second we did 6 rounds of fertility treatments. 3 with clomid and 3 with femera (idk how it’s spelled) and always a trigger shot. All failed and then ended up conceiving on my own a few months into taking a break!
