Feel good post

here's a feel good post for you! Friday night I pulled in and heard meowing. I look around and out pops this sweet kitty! She came up to my husband and I and started rubbing our legs so I knew she wasn't one of our regular ferals. I figured she was an escaped house cat and grabbed some tuna for her. I posted her picture on my neighborhood watch group, a neighbor responded saying she was abandoned by her family when they moved and has been kept around for her mousing skills.

I'm like "well crap, an ice storm is coming and I can't leave her out here." I build a shelter out of an insulated box, give her a little more tuna, then she follows me into the house and nestles into my laundry.

I took her to the vet today. She is estimated to be about a year old, very healthy. She has been a lovely presence in my house, I really want to keep her!

I have to convince my husband. We have 2 dogs and our "roommates" (my grandma and dad) have two dogs. The dogs are fine with the kitty. I want to name her Rey (I'm a massive Star Wars fan) because she is a little fighter. Hubby is starting to fall in love with her and she's kept my mind off of the TWW!
