Can someone tell me what’s being done??

So I have my second prenatal appt on Tuesday! They flew through everything my first appt with what all would be done at each visit...and I’m just confused what to expect on Tuesday!

I know at 10:30 they’re going to do an US, but what am I having done at 10:45??

It's a reminder to give you the glucose drink. At your next appointment they'll have you drink it & draw bloods to test for gestational diabetes 🤗

Shit I’m nervous 😩 I’ll be 12w1d at my visit. I’m 5’7” and 230lbs. Haven’t gained any weight so far (probably bc I’ve been so sick). Will I just sit at the office for an hour while they wait to draw blood??

Glucola is a gestational diabetes test. You drink the glucola which is syrupy and tasted sorta like flat sprite. You wait an hour and then have your blood drawn. If your glucose is not within the normal range, typically they’ll have you come back for a 3 hour test - where you drink glucola again and they take your blood after that.
I am surprised they’re doing a gestational diabetes test for you at your second visit? How far along are you?
