Parents of multiples: How did you get more than 1?

If you had twins, triplets, etc. Tell us how it happened!  Out of the blue or were they helped along with fertility treatments? Bonus: Comment below to tell us the story!

They don’t run in my moms side at all (only side that matters for twins). We went to the hospital shortly after a positive test because I was having odd pains and it was also on our 1 year marriage anniversary. My husband got emitted when he saw my blood when they were taking some lol. I went and got an ultrasound down to make sure everything was ok. They couldn’t tell me anything until the dr did of course. Went back to my room and husband was doing better and got to come back to my room but then went down again so got put back on the ekg. I got told I could go into the same room as my husband so I went there and the dr came in and goes well baby A and B are both healthy and doing great. We both laughed and asked them to repeat themselves. They started laughing when I looked at my husband and said happy 1 year anniversary lol. We went into shock but then got very excited. Now I’m expecting them any day now after a lot of complications.
