Should I see a doctor?

My period is a week late and pregnancy tests say negative. If my period starts in the next few days should I see the doctor anyway because of it being late- as in could it be something that needs checking on?

Sometimes you just skip periods. 🤷🏻‍♀️Stress, hormone fluctuations, illness, medication, changes in diet, can all affect when we get our period, for how long, and how heavy the flow. When my husband deployed I skipped my period for four months in a row just due to stress. My body also did weird things when ttc mostly because of how anxious/excited I was to have a baby. I put all kinds of pressure on myself. In addition, all the changes to your body can throw it out of sync. (Suddenly taking prenatales, more sex, generally people start eating better and changing their diets, etc). I had started skipping periods on occasion, my periods became irregular, etc. I went to my doctor and he said the first 4-5 months ttc, it's very common to have some irregularities because of all the changes and not to worry unless I was skipping every month or something extreme like heavy periods or big clots.
