I don’t think any mom has sat there and said, I wish my baby was born with Down syndrome. However, sometimes that is the path we are supposed to follow. And sometimes, walking that path is lonely and definitely scary. My daughter Ava was born on 11/14/17. 10 days after she was born, she was officially diagnosed with Down syndrome. It has been a whirlwind and we have had and will continue to have so many questions.
