How long did your doctor tell you to wait after your ectopic before TTC? I had a partial tube removal.

I had surgery and my right tube removed. I have been told 1-2 cycles, but the consultant also alluded to 'if I fall pregnant within a month' so he didn't seem to be too concerned if it was sooner that 1-2 cycles. So now I'm confused!

I've actually seen two doctors now for my ectopic. Mine was found may 24th (7 weeks), and no rupture thank God, so I've had two injections of Metho. Have you had any metho? When I saw the first Dr. and asked she told me I could try as soon as I hit hcg 0. I asked what about the metho? She said it would be out of my system within a week. However, I am now seeing a new doctor and I follow up with him again next week where I'll ask the same question. My numbers started high and I'm just now slightly below 1000. From everything I've read, it is suggested 3 months or two period cycles (not including the first one d/t hcg dropping) for both metho and tubal to give our bodies time to heal as well as our emotions. Metho also depletes folic acid which is super important. I can update with my second doctors opinion. I am probably going to wait months just because this has been my own personal hell (as I'm sure you can relate). I don't think I'll be ready to live in fear for weeks knowing my second pregnancy could also be ectopic so soon after this experience. Good luck and I'm so sorry for your loss.

Had metho shot and Dr told me to wait until after period returned. He said that your body is your best indicator so once period comes, all is back to normal. Found ectopic in June and period didn't come until August.

I'm sorry for your loss. When I had my ectopic I didn't lose a tube I just needed to take the shot to end the pregnancy. Dr. Asked me to wait two full cycles before trying again.
