Mysterious antibiotic resistant UTI bacteria

I had my first prenatal appointment this week on Monday. They did a routine urine culture and today I got a call that I have antibiotic resistant E. coli bacteria in my urine. I have been feeling really lousy the past two weeks and chalked it all up to pregnancy. I am scared now, though, because they said “antibiotic resistant” bacteria. Now the back aches, head aches, chills, and overall sick feeling makes sense. I didn’t feel like this with my first pregnancy. I got a shot of strong antibiotics today and was told that should kill the bacteria. Has anyone else ever experienced this “antibiotic resistant bacteria”? Did it go away with one round of antibiotics??? Nervous mommy over here!
