Weekend getaway at 37 weeks?

Question

Hi ladies, I'm due August 17th with our little guy and my husband and I would like to get away to a lake house before he arrives. The only weekend that works is July 31-August 2, when I'll be 37.5 weeks. The house is only an hour from home and there is nothing to do but sit and watch the water.

Planning to check with my doctor too but do you think I'm cutting it too close?

My doctor allows travel up to a three hour drive in that period of pregnancy. I think you're fine!!

House to hospital is 40 minutes for us.  60 isn't bad...but check with your doctor of course.

I'm due August 17th also. I had my 1st 11days early so I'm thinking this one will be the same. I have tickets to go see Motley Crüe on the 9th of August and I'm hoping my little lady is stubborn like her mom and holds off for me. It's their last year touring. The concerts 2hrs away😁 if your not dilated at your 36week appointment I say go for it.

Do it!! Live on the edge! Hehe. You may not get a chance with just the two of you for a while.
But seriously, if you haven't had any complications/trouble, I don't see any reason why not to if it's only 1hr away.
If you didn't go, you would probably sit around that weekend thinking 'I wish we went!'
