EWCM but already ovulated?

Question

I am really confused we have been using clear blue digital ovulation tests which said I ovulated on Tuesday/Wednesday, but I have notice EWCM today. 
I am worried as my fiancé went away yesterday but we felt happy that this was after ovulation - now I am worried that it was wrong and we will miss ovulation this month - has anyone else experienced this?

an opk doesn't confirm that you actually ovulated. it just confirms that you jad a spike in LH nothing more. so its possible that it took a few days to actually ovulate since the positive opk.

If you had sex Tuesday/Wednesday you’re likely still covered since sperm can live up to 5 days inside you.
