Stash possibly ruined by heat?

So we used pocket diapers with our oldest who is now 6. I stored the diapers in the garage for a few years until we had our next kid. I recently pulled them out and I have noticed that they leak terribly. Is it possible that the summer heat could have ruined them? It gets up to 110°+  frequently so obviously it was much hotter in the garage.

It could have. Also they crack over time. I got some pockets from my sister that were 6 years old and I ended up giving them to friends with daughters that used them on dolls because they leaked.

Definitely! Recommended storage is in something with airflow, like a pillowcase and in a temp controlled environment. Most stash in a closet somewhere.

It’s possible, but water temp is usually set at 120 so unless it got way hotter than that I’d think it wasn’t the heat. Storing them incorrectly can degrade the PUL too. Were they stored clean and dry in a space that allow airflow?
