Would you bathe your kid(s) in the same tub with your dog(s)?

If my kids wanted to get in the tub with the dog and bathe it, that's fine. They would just need to wear a bathing suit and shower afterwards.

My dogs are consisently filthy. Bathing them and kids together wou don't accomplish anything. I suppose maybe an initial rinse off together if they had all gotten into something wouldn't hurt, but the dog can get bathed separately past that.

I would bathe then in the same tub but not at the same time. My dog is an indoor dog that wear boots outside and gets weekly baths. I also scrub and bleach the hell out of my tub after her baths. So yes I would use the same tub. But I wouldn't do it at the same time. That'd be too crazy. My dog hates baths.

I just can't imagine the kids would come out very clean after bathing with a dog lol

Just because you don't want to run two baths? No. Definitely not.

However, I usually get in the bathtub when I give my dog a bath--for me it's just easier that way than having to lean over the tub and constantly pull her out of the back corner. So if my daughter was older and wanted to help wash the puppy, that would be fine with me. But always shower off afterwards.

I could see letting an already clean dog hopping in the tub with the kids just for fun. Some dogs really love water, and I think it would be a fun memory for the kids. But I would not wash my dog and child in the same bath.

In a pool, sure. Actually trying to get clean, no. I would shower with my dog, but she was cleaned first, then I got clean. The filth washed off both of us. A bathtub is for relaxation and recreation, in my opinion.

I actually never really thought about that, but it's a good reasonable question. No obviously; it's like asking, "would I bathe my dog in the same tub that I'd bathe in". I'm already weirded out by baths in general because your sitting in your own dirt (but whatever) so I wouldn't consider it acceptable. Plus I'm assuming other members in the family would be using the same tub.
