Is 1 too late to get my daughter ears pierced?

Go to a professional piercer at a tattoo shop , not the mall. No offense but a piercer is licensed and is required to use new and sanitized equipment for one person. A “gun” is used on multiple people. Just some thoughts.

I would wait; at this age I feel she would tug and pull and if they are not healed this could be an issue. A lot of places will not after 6 mo to a year just for that reason

It’s never too late. I was 11 when I got mine done. I’m giving my daughter the choice of when to get it done.
I used to work at Claire’s piercing ears. My advice to you is to go on a day when the mall/location is not busy. People love to crowd around when someone is piercing ears. Also, if you know your natural reaction is to jump or scream when you hear noises, do not hold your daughter. Let someone more calm do it. If you jump, your daughter will jump and the piercing gun may slip and the earring will not be in the right place. The sound is what scares the kid more so than the actual piercing. 
Look at the dots they place on her ears!!!! Do it over and over until you’re satisfied! If they look uneven, tell them and they will redo the dots. Do not let them pierce her ears until you’re satisfied with the dot placement. 
Be sure you pick a good metal for the earrings. Claire’s has a 14kt gold option that we always told parents to go for. It’s just a better thing to do for a sensitive baby. 
Do not twist the backs too tight when you’re cleaning the earrings. Your daughter will not be happy and you’ll panic trying to untwist it and end up hurting her ears.

Call Claire's and ask. They do so many they can tell you is 1 is okay. Also most pediatricians will do them too. You can all your Dr. I took my girl to Claire's. They have this awesome rapid care solution for cleaning and they had so quick. But if you don't like the piercing gun option I'd go with the pediatrician.
