Acting roles (possible trigger)

My husband and I recently started watching game of thrones and to be honest, some of the scenes are pretty disturbing to me. And it really made me think, are actors really okay with taking these jobs when they have to play such disturbing roles?

Personally I wouldn’t want to. If I was an actor I would be incredibly uncomfortable taking a role that included rape, or any kind of violence towards another person. I get that people have to make money but I just couldn’t do it.

So my question is, what do you think of actors that willingly play these rolls and would you do it?
