Placental cyst
We had our gender scan yesterday and all looked great on the baby. Then this young female doctor came in to talk to us. She didn't even introduce herself or say hi. She said I have a cyst on my placenta. She said there isn't much research on this out but they want to monitor it and have me come back every 4 weeks. It could mean an early delivery if starts to restrict intrauterine growth. Then she looks down and said she recently had a patient lose a baby at 32 weeks because of this. I freaked out.
I called my OB and he made me feel better saying the chance of losing the baby is very small and most cysts go away on their own and don't cause problems. Has anyone had experience with cysts? I'm staying positive knowing my baby is on target for growth right now and hoping the cyst goes away or doesn't grow. Any input would be helpful. Thanks ladies.
