Am I the only one saving myself for marriage?

I literally feel like I am the only one out of all my friends who isn't going to have sex before I'm married. Society makes me feel like that's some weird thing that nobody should do, am I wrong for doing this?!

Nope you're not the only one! My boyfriend and I have been together for 6 years and we're still waiting for our wedding day- which is still maybe years from now 😂

It's definitely a personal choice. I think if more people did it, there wouldn't be so many unplanned pregnancies and we wouldn't have the whole abortion controversy. (Not saying people should stop having sex outside of marriage, this is just a thought that has crossed my mind!)

I personally knew when I was  a young  teen, I never wanted to wait for marriage and my friends did..none of them actually waited for marriage. People thought I was a slut but I was only being honest wit myself. It doesn't make you weird or strange. It'd your own body and your own choice.  Don't let anyone tell you different.

No honey, it's not weird and it's good you're doing that. Keep it up ! I was waiting for marriage but things happened and now I honestly regret it. If I could I would get my virginity back even though I've only been with one person.

Not weird at all!! I waited until marriage, as did my husband. We were together 7 1/2 years before we got married. It wasn't easy, but it was SO worth the wait! Stay strong and do what's best for you! Don't let others affect your decision.

You're not wrong for doing it but I think it goes against human nature which makes it very difficult. It seems people saving themselves tend to get married very early (so they can have sex) ultimately divorce (think of Jessica Simpson!) and then what was the point as you will eventually have new relationships. I'm not suggesting sleeping around but if you are in a committed relationship I think it's a good idea to see if you have sexual chemistry. Just my opinion!
