I recommend waiting till at least 8 weeks (but 12 really is ideal). Every day makes a huge difference so early on and it's easy to get things wrong. We were first told it could be twins, and then that the pregnancy isn't viable at early scans. Same pregnancy now, nearly 39 weeks with one healthy baby - learn from my mistakes 🙂

when i went for a 6 week scan they couldent even see a yolk sac i went 2 weeks later turns out i ovulated later than i thought im now 30 weeks but that 2 weeks inbetween scans was really nerve racking

I’ve had 2 previous miscarriages. This pregnancy, I had one at 6+1 and saw the baby and a heartbeat but it wasn’t that reassuring because my first miscarriage happened at 10 weeks. I had another ultrasound at 7+5. I felt a little better after that one but still early. I won’t feel totally comfortable until after my next scan at 11+5.

I had a scan last Friday at 6w5d and we were able to see the heartbeat- that was really reassuring.  But of course you may not be able to see it that early and that would be OK too - but there is a chance.
