Announcing when not married?

Question

Curious if it's still appropriate to announce  our baby with a cute picture or something if we are not married. I know it sounds like a silly question but not sure how supportive our parents will be or others. I still want to be excited, luckily I am with the man I one day wish to marry. Has anyone done an announcement without being married?

I did. I had planned to inform my parents over dinner, with him. He actually called my dad and over lunch with just the two of them he informed my dad that I was pregnant and told him he knew without a doubt from the moment he met me that he was going to marry me. He just thought it was the man thing to do. I found out he did that at dinner lol! Wonderful man! But when others can see how in love you are and can also see that he is the one for you too then they should be happy

I'm literally in the same situation I do have 2 kids with my boyfriend and we've been together 7 years and now we just found out we are about to have number 3 I am so excited and want to do a cute announcement but I would sorta like us to be engaged when we announce. Honestly at the end of the day you know what you have with your SO and that's all that matters if you guys are happy then it shouldn't rain on your parade :) is this your 1st?

Yep! I've announced 2 babies without being married 😜. We've been together for 10 years so no one was really surprised (except with baby #1 because it was 4 years ago & I was only 21). You can't really change what happened, it's done--you're pregnant.

I announced two babies and I think it's fine. I'm still on the fence about marriage. We have been together for going on 7 years. Had our son 3 years ago and are expecting #2 in December.

I'm not married. Been with my DH (easiest thing to call him lol) for 7 years now, our son will be 6 in August and our baby girl is due in October. We have a stronger relationship not married than of anyone I know who is married. My moms also been married and divorced twice. Married my dad for 9 years, married to stepdad for 9 years,  between them she was divorced for 6 years, and now she's almost been divorced for a whole year again. My aunt and uncle who have never been married, had 3 bio kids, 7 adopted and a bunch of other fostered kids and have been together for close to 45/50 years now. I don plan on getting married unless it's something we both think is a good idea and were okay with it.

There is nothing wrong with it. I was engaged for 4 months when we did an announcement. No one in my family even cared. The only person who made comments about it, were the judgemental a******* that I work with lol. As long as your excited and happy who cares what others say or think. Just do it 😁
