Fiancé won't be at baby shower

My fiancé has to go work out of the province and will not be able to attend our baby shower which is making me really emotional.. Should I do it alone, not have a baby shower, or have one after the baby is a few months old that he can attend? I really wanted one while I was pregnant but I really really wanted it to be a celebration of our new family, which obviously includes him and I would be really sad and lonely if he wasn't there to share that 😕
